Bharatam Academy of Dance Arts was established with a sincere and singular intent to educate and enrich the community in Bharatanatyam, a classical dance of India, thus preserving and propagating this ancient and traditional art.
Bharatanatyam quintessentially represents the very tradition and culture of India. It is recognized worldwide as a symbol and source of Indian cultural identity and heritage. Bharatam is proud to be a gateway for educating the community in such a deep-rooted art.
Our earnest mission is to instill a sound understanding of and enjoyment for this rich and eloquent art of Bharatanatyam in our students, while maintaining its purity, elegance and traditional roots.
Bharatam offers regular classes and intensive workshops to build such deep-rooted awareness and joy of classical dance. Bharatam’s hallmark is building strong foundation in dance through personal attention, a discerning eye for quality and structured lessons.
The institution regularly provides its students with performance opportunities at its annual dance showcase events, feature presentations, corporate shows, creative workshops, cultural events, and community outreach programs in greater Chicago.
